Admission to M.Sc. Program in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (PMBB) at Department of Plant Molecular Biology is based on the scores obtained in Common University Entrance Test (Postgraduate)-CUET (PG) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). A total of 15 students are selected in order of merit from unreserved (UR) and reserved (OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST) categories (reservation as per university rules) as per the following matrix;

For the CUET (PG) 2023, online application forms can be submitted through the NTA portal

from 20 March, 2023 to 11 May, 2023

CUET (PG) 2023 ONLINE EXAMINATION

To be considered for admission to the 'M.Sc. in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology' program, it is required for the applicant to take the CUET Paper SCQP17.

The CUET (PG) 2023 SCQP17 Online Paper comprises of 100 multiple-choice questions:

    • Part A - 25 questions on language comprehension/verbal ability, general awareness, mathematical/quantitative ability and analytical skills
    • Part B - 75 questions from subject-specific knowledge of life-sciences

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY ?

  • A candidate seeking admission to M.Sc. in PMBB course must have bachelor's degree* in biological, chemical or physical sciences.
  • For candidates belonging to UR/OBC-NCL/EWS category, the *minimum eligibility is 50% marks aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD category, the *minimum eligibility is 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying degree examination are also eligible to appear in CUET (PG) - 2023. However, they must fulfil the *minimum eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
