POSTGRADUATE ADMISSIONS 2023-24
Welcome to the M.Sc. Program in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (PMBB) at the Department of Plant Molecular Biology. Our program offers a total of 25 seats, and students can secure admission through two distinct streams:
Stream 1: For those who qualify Common University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) - CUET (PG) 2023 – 15 seats
Stream 2: For those who qualify Graduate Aptitude Test - Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2023 - 10 seats
Admission to the M.Sc. program is based on a merit-based selection process aligned with the university's reservation policy. Following are the seat matrix offerings for the new PG Academic Session 2023:

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological/ Chemical/ Physical Sciences from a recognized University with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade (for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS category applicants) and 45% marks or equivalent grade (for SC/ST category applicants)
- For Stream 1: Applicant must have qualified the SCQP17 paper of CUET (PG) 2023
- For Stream 2: Applicant must have qualified DBT GAT-B 2023
Admission Process:
- If you meet the minimum eligibility criteria for admission, please initiate the registration process via the Common Seat Allocation System Post-Graduate (CSAS PG) 2023 at;

- Registration begins on CSAS(PG) portal : 27 July 2023
- Registration closes for CSAS(PG) 2023 : 14 Aug. 2023
- Apply for SPOT ADMISSION ROUND/upgrade : till 21 Sept. 2023 (04:59 PM)
- Declaration of Spot Round Seat Allocation : 23 Sept. 2023 (10:00 AM)
- Candidates to "Accept" the allocated seat : till 24 Sept. 2023 (11:59 PM)
- Online Fee payment by Candidates : till 26 Sept. 2023 (11:59 PM)
