Connecting Epigenetics and Plant Hormone Action

Vijendra Singh

Abstract

Recent studies show that epigenetic modifications including DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodelling, and small non-coding RNAs regulate the expression of plant hormones related genes. By reviewing these emerging reports collectively, a strong connection between epigenetics and action of hormones can be established. Furthermore, finding out the missing links and cross-talks among them may unravel many hidden aspects of hormones, whose function at epigenetic level is now being a necessity to know. The talk will shed light upon these links among various aspects of epigenetics regulating plant hormone signalling and their action in plants.
